Expectation setting: This is a hand-drawn track (not corded and not baton operated in the supplied information). Track bending is available using the stated tooling and radii. For suspended ceilings, the benefit is wider bracket spacing where bridging is required.
Overview of the G Rail 4800 track system
The 4800 is a flexible aluminium track suitable for light to heavyweight curtains, with the optional use of gliders or rollers. Standard components included are the 4010 gliders and 5350 or 5351 brackets depending on whether top fixed or face fixed.
The strength of the system allows a greater distance between fixing bracket centres. This is beneficial where special clips are used to fix to a suspended ceiling grid and standard width ceiling tiles have to be bridged.
The track can be used with suspended ceilings (see product images for an example of the installation context).
Where this fits in our range
Choose the G Rail 4800 when you need a heavy duty hand-drawn track and the flexibility to specify gliders or roller runners. It is particularly relevant where bracket spacing and suspended ceiling fixing considerations are part of the install.
Best suited for
- Light to heavyweight curtain installations where a hand-drawn operation is preferred.
- Projects that need either standard gliders for quieter operation or roller runners (optional).
- Installations involving suspended ceilings where increased bracket spacing is beneficial.
Benefits of the G Rail 4800
- Suitable for a wide range of curtain weights.
- Aluminium track; can be forward or reverse bent in different radii.
- Wall or ceiling mounting (bracket dependent).
- Available as standard in white or anodised aluminium.
- Plastic gliders for quieter operation (glider option).
- Complete kits with everything to install to one window.
Who uses the G Rail 4800
Used in domestic and contract environments, including hotel bedrooms, care homes and schools, as well as surround curtain installations (mid weight) and decorative exhibition curtain tracks.
Contract applications
A practical option where a heavier duty hand-drawn track is required and a robust aluminium profile is preferred.
Suspended ceiling installs
Selected where increased bracket spacing helps when bridging standard ceiling tiles using special clips on a ceiling grid.

aluminium curtain trackI purchased an aluminium curtain track and fittings. Product was quality, as anticipated. I had a couple of queries prior to purchase, which their technical specialist dealt with quickly and competently. Telephone and e-mail communications with the company were first class. Only disappointment was the week delay in delivery, otherwise I would have awarded 5 stars. Curtain rail now installed and working well with heavy curtains.0 people found this helpful
