In this project we supplied the prestigious waterhall country hotel with flame retardant curtains for 2 of their newly renovated rooms. As a leading UK supplier of fire resistant fabrics we were approach by the production company to supply so simple and clean "FR" fabrics for their hotel rooms.

Requirements for Hotel Curtains

We went through our ranges and settled on one of our plain fabrics from the oddessey range. This range comes in 36 colour ways and is a lovely heavy fabric that is inherently flame retardant and makes up very well in to curtains.

As a full service was required we needed to ensure that the measurements taken for the curtains we correct. This was done by following our detailed how to measure guide for curtains and blinds. As the team wanted a pelmet we went through the details of how to measure and discussed at length with the design team to ensure they got what they wanted.

Village Hall Curtains for Wedding Receptions

We recently did a project for a community village who wanted to use the space for functions but whilst providing the finish of a well established location. It was decided by their community to use a curtain track system round the outside of the room and to use a light weight curtain material for drapes around the outside to add a luxury finish to the space.

Products used for our Village Hall Curtains

Venus supersoft flame retardant fabric. All certified to British Standards BS5867. This fabric is one of our best sellers and always brings a smile to our clients faces when used. There are 36 colour options and it is a dimout fabric so it doesnt need to be lined when used. It has a lovely weight and drapes incredibly well.

Our fitting team was sent to help fit our strong metal curtain tracks and install the 3" curtains with hooks. Our professional curtain fitting team went to the site and installed everything that was required. This meant that we had full control of everything from the measuring and the fitting so the curtain look incredible. There is no risk for our clients as we know what size to make everything to, to ensure that it fits perfectly.

School Curtains Flame Retardant Library Curtains

This is an example of some flame retardant curtains that we have produced for a large boarding school. We were asked to produce some long length blackout curtains for their library.  The boarding school asked if we could find a stripe fabric that would complement the school colours. As you can see from the photos below the sizes of the windows in the library were so big we had to get a tower scaffolding in to fit the curtains. No job is too big or too small for the Direct Fabrics team.

Requirements

Our client request pairs of curtains in a BS5867 British Standard certified flame retardant fabrics, that would provide a high level of blackout for their library so they would be able to darken the room for presentations and also functions.  So the requirement was for school curtains for their boarding school.

We therefore chose the Hudson range of fabrics, as it is a popular stripe fabric that works well in commercial environment, whether schools, care homes or hotels.

Our client also wanted us to fit the tracks for the team as their own in house team were not confident in completing this task. As our team has professional indemnity and public liability insurance we are perfectly suited for all aspects of blind and curtain fitting.
