Flame Retardant Velvet Curtains

Work Requested for the Client

Alderley Edge School for Girls is a leading independent day school for girls aged 2 to 18. The client requested that we supply a heavy weight velvet fabric that was from our regency range. We  used the deep blue colour which worked perfectly. The stage curtains were made with a satin lining to make them drape perfectly with double fullness. To give it an excellent pleating and a billet hook heading was hand stitched into the curtains to connect to the heavy duty metal curtain track.

Introduction to the Client

Founded by Eileen Cavalier OBE, the London College of Beauty Therapy celebrates its 21st anniversary this year and is now the UK’s largest specialist, further education funded training college specialising in Beauty Therapy, Beauty Retail, Hair and Media Make-up and Fitness.

Work Requested

To supply and install cubicle curtains and tracks for the new beauty rooms.

Products Required

A printed design was chosen for the curtains that was printed onto a dimout material that could be washed. This was from our flaxy range, but the design was copied and printed onto another basecloth.

The cubicle rails were chosen from our NHS certified range that are durable able to hold a heavy weight and also have a microban coating making them antibacterial.
