A heavy-weight 100% pure new wool serge suitable for curtains, acoustic treatments and specialist environments. British milled and available in 40 colour options, this fabric is widely specified where durability, sound control and compliance are required.

Expectation setting: This is a dense wool serge designed for body, drape and sound control. It is not a sheer and does not provide blackout unless used with an appropriate lining.
Coloured wool serge for acoustic and performance-led projects
Manufactured from 100% pure new wool at approximately 460–465gsm, this wool serge offers substantial weight and structure, making it suitable for stage curtains, music spaces and specialist interiors.
Independently tested to achieve an acoustic absorption rating of 0.65 (unlined), it is regularly specified where reverberation control is required. Abrasion resistance of 50,000 Martindale cycles supports use in demanding environments.
Fire performance includes BS EN 1021 Parts 1 and 2 (cigarette and match) and BS 5867 Part 2 Type B, depending on treatment. Optional treatments are available where BS 5852 Crib 5 is required. Full certification details are provided in the specifications tab.
