Expectation setting: Exposure is a blackout fabric with a three-pass coated reverse for complete light exclusion. The reverse is an off-white acrylic blackout coating; handle and finish can differ between face and coated side, and creasing/pressure marking can occur during storage and handling.

The range includes a three-pass blackout coating for complete light exclusion, alongside practical qualities including stain repellent and thermal properties.
Flame retardancy is specified to multiple standards for contract environments, including BS 5867 Part 2 Type B and EN 13773, with additional international standards listed in the specification section below.

Who uses Exposure flame retardant blackout fabric
Specified for curtain installations where blackout performance and documented flame retardancy are required. Suitable for contract-led projects across hospitality and other commercial settings where a coordinated colour range is important.
Supplied by the linear metre, Exposure is commonly selected for made-to-measure curtain manufacture and larger projects where consistency of finish and repeatability of specification matters.

When storing, pressure marks may occur. Too much weight on the pallet holding the fabric, or overhang when the fabric is on the roll, may cause indentations or bruising. For specification-critical work, test handling/cleaning on an offcut first and confirm site requirements for laundering and maintenance.

This fabric is coated with a 3pass blackout coating. This means it has been sealed 3 times and to ensure that the material is totally blackout. The coating is an off white coating which reflects heat out of a window when the curtains are drawn. The 3 pass coating also adds thermal benefits with a heat retention when used over a double glazed window of 30%. Therefore your rooms will be cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
