Fixing Options for Stage Tracking

The stage track can be wall or top fixed. In a standard hall enviroment there will usually be a concrete ceiling or timber patrous to secure the ceiling saddles to. The hanging bolts then attach securely to these.

Alternativly the track can be wall fitted using 200mm 350mm or 500mm wall brackets.

The kit will come with these if selected as options. Depending on the length of track there will be (x) no of supports. An example calculation is 700cm track divided by 150cm for bracket spacing = 4.66 thus 5 brackets supplied to support.

How the Walk Along Curtain Track System operates

Overview of Weight Limits of Stage Curtain Track

Six Track will be installed at a height such that any failure would be hazardous.

Installation must be undertaken under the supervision of a competent person.

All suspension points must be assessed to ensure they are adequate to suspend the load.

Before starting the installation the load for each support should be calculated allowing for the weight of all the track and accessories as well as the curtain whether open or bunched or part bunched as during opening. Care must be taken to allow for loads imposed during operation, the load on a twin head pulley may be increased by up to 50KG due to the effect of the hauling line.

The maximum recommended length of a single span track is 10.0 metres and 18.0 metres for a overlap track system.

The maximum distance between track supports is approx 2.25m for open cloth and approx 1.60m for bunched cloth.

The max load per runner is 6.0Kg and has a recommended spacing of 300mm when the cloth is open. Swivel hooks are best used on the curtains instead of eyelets or ties.

Tools Required to Check Measure for Curtains

Piece of paper

For recording your
measurements.

Helper

Someone to assist if your
windows are large .

Tape measure

As this will allow you to get a
rigid full length measurement.

Measure the exact width of the recess in three places; at the top of the recess, in the centre of the recess and near the bottom - then take the smallest size.

Measure the exact drop of the recess in three places on the left hand side of the recess, in the centre of the recess and on the right hand side of the recess - then take thesmallest size.

We will take one cm (half an inch) off the finished width size you have given us, to allow for the blind to pull up and down easily. The amount of fabric required will be more than this finished size, This is to allow for fabric hemming.

Measure the width of the actual recess plus an additional amount – Usually from 7cm-15cm (3" - 6") whatever you think looks appropriate.

Measure the exact drop of the recess. The blind would be fitted above the recess, so check the space above and add an amount on to the drop – usually from 15-20cm (6" - 8")

These sizes you have taken will be the size of the finished blind. The amount of fabric required will be more than this finished size this is to allow for hemming.
