What is Curtain Fullness & What Fullness will my Curtains be?

What does curtain fullness mean and how much do I need? Curtain fullness refers to how much fabric is used compared to the width of your curtain track or pole. More fullness creates deeper pleats and a more luxurious finish when the curtains are closed. At Direct Fabrics we manufacture most made to measure curtains as standard using 2x the track width , also known as double fullness . This is the industry standard for pencil pleat and eyelet curtains, and means you do not need to calculate or choose fullness unless you want something different. We automatically allow for the correct amount of fabric and round up widths where needed to ensure the best finish. Certain heading styles, such as pinch pleat or wave, require more fabric due to how the pleats are formed, and are handled automatically based on the heading you select. For a visual explanation, examples and guidance on how fullness affects the appearance of your curtains, see our full guide on Understanding Curtain Fullness .

How it bends without deforming

Inside the package are two bending rods inserted inside the track profile. They support the track while you bend, keeping the shape clean.

Key dimensions

Measurement from the top of the profile to the bottom of the hole in the glider is circa 3.4cm.

Fineline can be used with double brackets (silver and white) to allow a valance in front of the track.

Complete kit for one installation. Tracks over 200cm will be in 2 pieces (connector included).

Bendable curtain track / flexible curtain rail

Perfect for bay and bow windows. Weight limit around 20kg per pair. Insert the bending rods into the track and bend it over your knee to form a smooth radius.

How to bend your curtain track

Step-by-step

I wasn't sure how much of an item i needed, and ended up over-ordering just in case. Lizzie contacted me to discuss my order, and I shared dimensions and pictures of what I was trying to achieve. She kindly discussed the product, how it worked, calculated what I actually needed, and alked me through it so that it was all clear. She updated my order (which ended up saving me money), and my order arrived a couple days later. I am so grateful for the time Lizzie took to assist me, and I'm happy with the quality of what I received. Thank you, will shop again!

Hi It’s hard to find anything they don’t do well I bought curtain rail brackets only to find they were not suitable for the rail I had bought I contacted them to get the return procedure and got an immediate response from their sales manager to see what was wrong. Long story short I then got quote for one of their rails to suit the new brackets but after a bit do toing and froing it turned out that that rail was unsuitable I went back to Lizzie (S.M.) who talked me through my situation and then suggested a different rai which I now have and am in the process of fitting It will do my job buitifully. The approach throughout has been very positive and always trying to help Excellent service and a very good product Thank you very much
