How do I add or remove gliders from a curtain track?

Most curtain track gliders can be easily added or removed. The method depends on the type of curtain track, but usually involves removing the end stop, cord mechanism or using the glider insertion point on recessed tracks.

What is Curtain Fullness & What Fullness will my Curtains be?

What does curtain fullness mean and how much do I need? Curtain fullness refers to how much fabric is used compared to the width of your curtain track or pole. More fullness creates deeper pleats and a more luxurious finish when the curtains are closed. At Direct Fabrics we manufacture most made to measure curtains as standard using 2x the track width , also known as double fullness . This is the industry standard for pencil pleat and eyelet curtains, and means you do not need to calculate or choose fullness unless you want something different. We automatically allow for the correct amount of fabric and round up widths where needed to ensure the best finish. Certain heading styles, such as pinch pleat or wave, require more fabric due to how the pleats are formed, and are handled automatically based on the heading you select. For a visual explanation, examples and guidance on how fullness affects the appearance of your curtains, see our full guide on Understanding Curtain Fullness .

Transform your space with the sleek, modern look of a recess curtain track. Designed to sit within a ceiling cut-out, it delivers an invisible track appearance that is minimal, clean, and compatible with most interior styles, while ensuring smooth, reliable curtain operation.

Built from high-quality aluminium, the track is durable and versatile for shaped windows such as arches and circles. UV-protected clickable carriers help the curtain traverse smoothly and maintain straight, tidy pleats for both residential and commercial projects.

Compatible with Wave curtains when supplied with Wave gliders. For correct clearance, leave 8 cm from the wall for 60 mm Wave and 10 cm for 80 mm Wave.

Yes. Select the correct Wave gliders for 60mm or 80mm Wave and we supply the gliders for the rail length.

Can this track be used in bay windows or curved spaces?

It is not bendable on site, but we offer factory bending based on your template or measurements.

Can I fit this track retrospectively?

Yes, but you will need to cut a straight channel into the ceiling for a flush fit. If you want to avoid this, choose the slimline ceiling mount alternative above.

Flawless customer service and an excellent product For my extension project, I discovered I needed a ceiling curtain track within a couple of days or it would be too late to include in the project. I spoke to a team member on the phone and she was able to support me to order the right product and arrange delivery in two days. The build team are impressed by the tracks as well.
